Throughout Probate it's incredibly important to keep accurate records of every financial transaction made.
These include but are not limited to:
Because a final accounting of all financial transactions will need to be filed with Probate Court at the end of Probate, well organized, easily understood records will help make this final submission easier.
Additionally, because it's the responsibility of an Executor or Administrator to properly settle the Estate without error, organized documents are vital.
To double check these records, make sure to save all deposit and withdrawal receipts, copies of checks, and bank statements.
Typically, a spreadsheet is used to help document these items; see the below links for templates to download and use throughout this process.

- Bills paid -- to whom and amount
- Deposits made -- from whom and amount
- Accounts transferred -- amount and for what reason
