Administrator
The person in charge of settling the Estate of a deceased person if no Last Will & Testament was validated prior to the death.
They are responsible for by paying its debt and distributing its remaining Assets to Beneficiaries.
Typically, a Will identifies the person legally allowed to settle the Estate; however, if no Will exists, then state Probate Court will appoint someone to this position as the Administrator.
When a Will does exist at the time of a death, the person in charge of settling the Estate is known as the Executor of Estate.
