Living Will

A series of legal documents that states the type of medical care a person would like to receive, or who may want to speak on their behalf, if they lack the capacity to do so during a medical emergency.

Typically, these types of documents are created by people who may be terminally ill or nearing end of life and include, organ donation preferences, Do Not Resuscitate Orders (DNR), Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (POLST), and Durable Power of Attorney.
