Contact IRS to End Executor Status

If the Executor or Administrator was appointed to be responsible of the Estate's taxes by the IRS, then IRS Form 56 was most likely previously submitted.

This same form is also used to end the responsibility.

Once all tax obligations for the deceased, the Estate, and Beneficiaries have been taken care of, the Executor or Administrator submits another IRS Form 56 to officially cease the relationship with the Estate.
