Obtain Distribution Approval from Probate Court
Before Assets can be distributed to Heirs and Beneficiaries, review state law and Probate Court processes for any needed approvals.
The court may require a Petition for Final Distribution or Order on Final Distribution be submitted for approval.
Note: if the Administrator or Executor will receive compensation for managing the Estate, then their fee should also be included in the Petition for Final Distribution submission.

- An in person hearing may be required to review these forms and Probate Court may require a notice about the hearing to be sent to "interested persons" to contest the final accounting of the Estate if needed
- Once approved by a judge, the Executor or Administrator is given official approval to distribute remaining Assets
- In some cases, this approval is known as Decree of Distribution
