Forensic Autopsy
A surgical procedure performed by a medical doctor to a dead body to determine the cause of death.
In many cases, this may be required by state law If the death was unexpected.
This is in contrast to a Clinical Autopsy, which is conducted if the death was expected.
Typically, it is to investigate possible inherited diseases, or better understand treatments used to fight a disease.
