As such, there are several ways to accommodate social distancing guidelines, including but not limited to:
- Hold a smaller family service now and plan for a larger Memorial gathering later
- Hold an outside-only event that allows for participants to socially distance (ex: Graveside Service)
- Organize a Vigil that can be seen from a distance and allows for the community to pay respects or drop off condolence gifts; this could be outside the home,or a drive-through visitation ceremony at a Funeral Home, allowing the community to pay their last respects
- Video record the service and share with a larger group on the internet
- Create a virtual service or stream the Funeral on the internet using Zoom, Google Meet, Skype, Facebook, YouTube, or any other live streaming platforms
- Create a virtual photo album that allows friends and family to upload photo or video memories; it can even be printed into a physical book at a later date
- Purchase hand sanitizer and make easily accessible for everyone during any gathering
