Credit Report

A document that analyzes a person's credit history in order to inform lenders of the probability they will repay loans in a timely manner.

It includes, but is not limited to, the number of bank or credit card accounts opened, overdue payment status and history, and employment history.

These reports are created by a Credit Report Agency, also known as a credit bureau.

Financial information is collected and and sold to Creditors to inform them of decision to lend money.

In the United States, there are three main credit reporting agencies: Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.
