Choose the Deceaseds Clothing
If the deceased will be buried or cremated while dressed in personal clothing, collect these items and give them to the Funeral Home or Crematorium for when they prepare the body.
If clothing is not provided, and there is an open-casket, the Funeral Home may charge a fee.
If the deceased had not stated a preference, think about what represents them best, or what they liked to wear.
If religious traditions and customs are being followed, then there may be specific rules to follow.
The deceased may also request to be buried with personal possessions; if so, collect these items and provide them to Mortuary or Funeral Home.
There are no rules or laws about what can or cannot be buried with the body. Typically, items include but are not limited to:
Note: all metal will need to be removed from the body prior to Cremation, including piercings or anything attached to an article of clothing.
