Also known as a Marker, a Headstone is a piece of stone placed atop or near a Grave to identify the deceased buried there by name.

Additional information such as date of birth / death and a personal message are also typically present.

Traditionally, Headstones are sold by Cemeteries and Funeral Homes, but it's not required that they be purchased there.

As with all other products and services, Headstones can be purchased anywhere and sent to a Cemetery.

Note: Cemeteries are not subject to the FTC's Funeral Rule and therefore may charge an additional fee for one purchased elsewhere.
