Secure Valuables

If the death recently occurred, secure the deceased's valuables which may be in the immediate vicinity or stored nearby.

These include but are not limited to:

  • Jewelry

  • Money / credit cards

  • Property and vehicle(s)

  • Home / vehicle keys

  • Cellphone / computers

  • Personal documents (social security card, birth certificate, Last Will & Testament, etc)

  • Storage units


Keep track of where you store valuables using a spreadsheet or other closely guarded document.
