If the deceased had private health insurance, contact the insurance provider to register the death and cancel payments.
If the deceased was employed, contact their employer for additional information; if not, they may have purchased an individual plan on a state health exchange.
Additionally, review if the deceased has any outstanding claims or payments; they will be helpful when settling the Estate.
